Take a look at Aba Made Bullet Proof Vest [PHOTO]

Yesterday was Aba trade fair held in Abuja, Nigeria's federal capital territory, and this is not the first time Aba Made Products have gone national/diaspora, but one thing got our attention, and that is Aba Made Bullet Proof vest!

Yes! you read it! Aba artisans are beyond your imagination when it comes to product making, no wonder Acting President Osinbajo recently said that "Had Aba developed, Nigeria has nothing to do with China".

The bullet proof vest was produced by one of the Aba artisans, it's proudly Made In Aba.

But we have not authenticated, whether it's safe for the Military and other forces to wear it while facing an enemy. Apart from that, Aba can produce whatever you imagine.

Although despite their knowledge in product making, Aba artisans have their major challenges, and that is lack of steady power supply and good environment.

Abacityblog recently read in a statement credited to the Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu where he is said that there are over 15,000 shoemakers in Aba, who produce 300,000 shoes daily while one million of those shoes find their ways to Europe and other parts of the world on a weekly basis.

The exports are estimated at about N1 billion weekly.

That is a good news, but it's not a recent news, the sad part of it is that Abia State government has never given them the enabled environment to thrive, no steady light, but they are paying their taxes and levies, a visit to Bakassi Shoe Plaza and Ariaria International Market will leave you speechless.

Who is to be blame? The past eight years of former governor Theodore Ahamefula Orji who is now a Senator representing Abia Central can be described as a total waste, he does nothing to the Aba residents and we have always remembered him for that.

Recent government of Ikpeazu has emerged, started championing for Made In Aba products, but they have given a deaf ear to the root of the problem which the Aba artisans are facing.

Nigeria can depend only in made in Aba products if only the government will give them 'enabled environment, good road and steady power supply.

Average Aba man is filled with wisdom and knowledge if only the government will do the needful.
