Governor Ikpeazu Commends Fayose's Great Work in Ekiti State

Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has commended the giant stride of his Ekiti State counterpart, Mr Ayodele Fayose, on various projects being executed by his administration across the state, Dr. Ikpeazu posited that that Fayose’s achievement in the area of infrastructure provision was a demonstration of love and passion which can drive people to achieve results even in difficult situations.

Speaking in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital yesterday while inspecting some projects being executed by the Fayose-led administration, the Abia governor, said Fayose was performing wonders in spite of the lean resources at the disposal of the state government.


Ikpeazu who was on a brief visit to Governor Fayose who turned 56 this week inspected flyover bridge and the new high court complex two projects that are ongoing in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti capital city.

According to him,”It is wonderful and awesome and it is thrilling to see this kind of work going on despite the recession. Fayose is ‎doing well in Ekiti State. He is showing passion to serve the people of the state and that it driving him. Every leader must be moved by passion and the passion you have for the people determines how well you serve them.

“I pray that God will continue to give him wisdom, and good health to serve the people for more years to come. I really applaud his efforts,” he said.


On the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), especially with reference to Ondo State where who the governorship candidate of the PDP is still in contention, Ikpeazu expressed the hope that justice would be done in the end.

“I think Ondo people and Nigerians understand what is happening. I pray and hope that the judiciary will rise up to the occasion and am confident that justice will be done in the end and our party will emerge victorious,” he added.
