Labels: National News
Overwhelmed by the constant invasion of communities and the bloodshed that accompanies it, as well as the economic recession that is visiting several families with untold hardship, the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State Chapter has taken the issues which have defied all human interventions before God.
The session was anchored by state’s Youth CAN Chairman, Apostle Charles Smith, who cried out to God to make haste and heal the country.
The gathering also prayed for God to grant those leading the country and Kaduna State divine wisdom to lead the country to greatness.
Similarly, prayers were offered for President Muhammadu Buhari’s protection and good health.
Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el-Rufai was also prayed for, appealing to God to make him transform the state and consolidate on its path to prosperity.
In an interview after the session, Apostle Smith said that the Prayer Meeting was very successful.
He however, decried the turnout, wishing more youths were present.
“At the meeting we prayed for peace and unity in Nigeria. We also prayed to God to all the Christian youths good ambassadors of the land.
“We prayed for God to let our leaders know that people are passing through hardship and for the ravaging hunger in the land to end,” he added.
The Prayer Meeting is held every first Thursday of the month and is facilitated by Kaduna Youth CAN Project Coordinator, Pastor Sunday Moses.
