Funke Akindele: ''Why JJC and I chose a quiet wedding''

Nollywood star actress, Funke Akindele aka Jenifa who recently got married to popular Nigerian rapper, Abdul Rasheed Bello, fondly called JJC Skillz, has explained why their marriage was rather quite.

Funke tied the nuptial nuts with JJC Skillz in London, United Kingdom on August 23.

Although the duo had debunked rumours which made the rounds of their relationship for quite some time, the ‘quiet’ wedding which came as a surprise to Nigerians was witnessed by immediate family members and very close associates.

The wedding had laid to rest controversies on the true status of their relationship.

But the couple, in a statement signed by Funke Akindele’s publicist, Biodun Kupoluyi, said they chose a quiet wedding in London because neither of them wanted to be at the centre of attention having been on that lane before.

“The decision to do it quietly was right for us and we pray for the understanding of our close friends and fans at this offer of a lifetime moment.

“At a good time, we shall look back and in appreciation of divine grace and your support, we shall celebrate milestones and where we are in life.”

Until his decision to marry the divorced actress, JJC Skillz was a father of three.
